Any recipes that are good for an after-school snack ?

i am ALWAYS hungry after school. any recipe ideas ?Any recipes that are good for an after-school snack ?
I get Quaker rice cakes, the peanut butter and chocolate chip kind, and put peanut butter and cool whip on top. Fast, and goooood.Any recipes that are good for an after-school snack ?
make a pot of fried rice and keep in the fridge and jsut heat up a portion





1 tablespoon olive oil


1 medium onion, finely diced


2 sticks celery, finely chopped


1 red capsicum, finely diced


1 carrot, peeled and grated


1 can 440g corn kernels, drained


1 small can water chestnuts, drained


4 cups cooked long grain wholemeal rice


2 tablespoons Kecap Manis





Method:








Heat large wok over medium heat. Add oil and onion and saut茅 for one minute.








Add celery, red capsicum and stir fry for 2 minutes.








Add carrot, corn kernels and water chestnuts and stir to combine.








Add the rice and Kecap manis and mix through to combine. Heat through for about 1-2 minutes.

Cheese and veggie sandwich


3 - Tablespoons vegetable oil spread or margarine, divided


1/2 - cup chopped green onions


1/2 - cup chopped red or green peppers


1/2 - teaspoon dried oregano leaves


8 - slices white bread


8 - Kraft 2% Milk Sharp Cheddar Singles


Direction





Melt 1 tsp. of the vegetable oil spread in small skillet on medium heat.


Add vegetables and oregano; stir to coat.


Cook 2 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring frequently.


Top each of four of the bread slices with two 2% Milk Singles and 1/4 cup of the vegetable mixture.


Cover with remaining bread slices.


Spread outsides of sandwiches with remaining vegetable oil spread.


Cook in skillet on medium heat for 3 min. on each side or until golden brown on both sides.

Tamale Casserole





1 lb ground beef


1 onion, chopped


6 t chili powder


1 lb can of tomatos


1 can of corn, drained


3/4 cup corn meal


2 small cans of black olives, drained





Brown the hamburger and onion in a large electric skillet or frying pan. Add chili powder, tomatos, corn and corn meal. Stir. Add olives. Put in large bowl. Bake. (325 for 1 hour or 375 for 20 minutes)





Serve with ketchup and/or parmesan cheese.

How about some apple slices with peanut butter. some vegys with ranch dip. A small salad with your favorite dressing topped with some croutons and cheese. Make some popcorn.
