Really good Snack Mix Recipes?

Christmas Snack Mix


1 (16 ounce) jar dry roasted peanuts


2 (14 ounce) packages red and green candy-coated chocolate


1 (14 ounce) package chocolate covered peanuts


1 (7 ounce) jar wheat nuts





Mix together the peanuts, red and green candy-coated chocolate


pieces, red and green candy-coated chocolate covered peanuts,


chocolate covered peanuts and wheat germ nut snacks.


Serve in a large bowl or place in decorative glass jars and give as


gifts.




















Caramel Corn %26amp; Craisins庐 Snack Mix





INGREDIENTS:





2 quarts popped popcorn, unpopped kernels removed


3/4 cups granulated sugar


1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar


1/3 cup light corn syrup


1/3 cup water


3 tablespoons butter


1/2 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 teaspoon vanilla


1 6-ounce Ocean Spray庐 Craisins庐 Original Sweetened Dried Cranberries


1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks or chips


1 cup honey roasted peanuts


DIRECTIONS:





Place popped corn in large bowl; set aside.





Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup and water in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Brush sides of pan with pastry brush dipped in water to remove any sugar crystals. Boil until mixture reaches 300掳 F (hard crack stage), about 6 to 8 minutes.





Remove from heat. Carefully stir in butter, salt, baking soda and vanilla. Pour syrup over popcorn; toss to coat. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Break up into chunks. Cool completely.





Combine cooled caramel corn with remaining ingredients. Mix gently.





CAUTION: Caramel is very hot and can cause severe burns. Use caution when handling.





Makes 11 1-cup servings.























CAJUN CHRISTMAS MIX





2 (12 oz.) cans Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds


6 c. Kellogg's Crispix cereal


1 c. Pepperidge Farm Parmesan Cheese Goldfish Tiny crackers


1/4 c. butter


1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce


1/2 tsp. paprika


1/2 tsp. thyme leaves


1/4 tsp. black pepper


1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce





Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a large shallow roasting pan, combine almonds, cereal and Goldfish crackers. Melt butter and stir in seasonings. Pour over almond mixture and toss to coat. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Spread on paper towel to cool. Store in air tight container. Makes 9 cups























Snowed-Under Frosted Cheerios Snack


3 cups Frosted Cheerios cereal


6 cups popped Betty Crocker Pop Secret


natural flavor microwave popcorn


3 cups pretzel twists


1 (7 ounce) jar Marshmallow Creme





Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray, or lightly grease.





Mix cereal, popcorn and pretzels in large bowl; set aside.





Microwave Marshmallow Creme in medium microwavable bowl uncovered on HIGH for about 2 minutes, stirring after every minute, until melted. Pour over cereal mixture in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Spread on cookie sheet.





Bake 12 to 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until coating is light golden brown. Spread on wax paper or aluminum foil; cool completely.





Store loosely covered

Reindeer Snack Mix





INGREDIENTS





* 2-2/3 cups Bugles庐


* 2-2/3 cups square-shaped cheese flavored crackers


* 2-2/3 cups pretzel sticks


* 1-1/3 cups Corn Chex庐 cereal


* 1-1/3 cups bite-size shredded wheat


* 1-1/3 cups pecan halves


* 2/3 cup butter, melted


* 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon maple syrup


* 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce


* 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning


* 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper





DIRECTIONS


1. In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. In another bowl, combine the butter, syrup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning and cayenne; pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat.





2. Transfer to an ungreased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 250 degrees F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.





serves 12
';Puppy chow'; would make a perfect chirstmas gift. It is chex mix deliciously coated with melted chocolate and peanut butter, all coated with a thin layer of powdered sugar.
