Can you give me some Great Snack Recipes?

I like to snack but I want to try new things! any suggestions.Can you give me some Great Snack Recipes?
Make your own tortilla chips. Buy corn tortillas, cut them into quarters. Deep fry until golden. Salt immediately after removing from oil (I use a mix of canola/peanut oils).





I get compliments on them and they're so easy. You can dip them in salsa but they're great alone!Can you give me some Great Snack Recipes?
Pesto Pita Appetizers





savory crisps are wonderful with creamy soups





1 whole pita breads


3 tablespoons prepared pesto


3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese





Split pita bread into two rounds. Spread with pesto and sprinkle with cheese. Cut each into six wedges. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until crisp. Serve warm

Easy Cookies





2 cups butter, softened


1 cup white sugar


4 cups all-purpose flour


2 teaspoons cornstarch





Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (170 degrees C).


Cream softened butter thoroughly. ( If using margarine, add four drops of butter flavoring.) Slowly add sugar.


Sift flour and corn starch before adding. Mix well. Press into an ungreased jelly roll pan 11 x 15 x 1 1/2 inches.


Bake 30 minutes or until very light brown. Score and cut while warm

Maple Chocolate Walnut Bars





Best served with a cold glass of milk, these decadent bars are chock full of walnuts and chocolate chips.





1 1/2 cups Pillsbury BEST庐 All Purpose Flour


2/3 cup sugar


1/2 teaspoon salt


3/4 cup cold butter or margarine


2 large eggs


1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND庐 Sweetened Condensed Milk


1 1/2 teaspoons maple flavoring


2 cups chopped walnuts


1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips





DIRECTIONS


Heat oven to 350 degrees F.


In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in 1 egg. Press evenly into 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 25 minutes.


In medium bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, remaining 1 egg and maple flavoring. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle chips evenly over partially baked crust. Top with walnut mixture, spreading evenly to edges.


Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until golden. Cool. Cut into bars. Store leftovers tightly covered at room temperature

PIZZA SNACKS





1/2 lb. sausage


1 tbsp. oregano


1 clove minced garlic


1 pkg. refrigerator biscuits


Tomato paste


1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese


Grated Parmesan cheese





Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Brown sausage, drain. Add oregano and garlic on greased baking sheet. Flatten biscuits to 4 inch circles with floured custard cup, leave rim. Fill with tomato paste and sausage, sprinkle with cheeses. Bake at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes.





MOZZARELLA OR JACK CHEESE STICKS





Cheese, cut into 3x1/2'; sticks


Egg %26amp; milk mixture (like you would make for French toast)


Italian bread crumbs





Make egg and milk mixture ';eggy';. Dip cheese sticks into egg mixture, then in flour. Dip in egg mixture again. Now dip in Italian Bread Crumbs. Set cheese sticks on plate line with waxed paper. Put in freezer for at least 15 minutes. Deep fry in hot oil until breading is brown. Serve plain or with pizza sauce for dipping.


Make sure you put waxed paper between your layers of cheese sticks before putting in freezer.





CHICKEN PINWHEELS





1 lb. skinless boneless chicken breasts


2 to 3 oz. prosciutto or ham, sliced


2 tbsp. butter


2 tsp. lemon juice


1/2 tsp. thyme


1/4 tsp. garlic powder





Cut chicken and prosciutto into 1/2 inch wide strips. Divide into 4 portions. Layer chicken and prosciutto and roll into a pinwheel and secure with a toothpick.


Put on metal skewer and brush with butter and spice mixture. Broil and turn. Use remaining butter and spice mixture. Cook until tender. Serve with rice and vegetable.





APPLE TURNOVER





1 pastry sheet (cut into 4)


2 apples (Granny Smith is a good choice)


2 tablespoons sugar


1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon


touch of milk





Cut pastry sheet into 4 pieces. Thinly slice the apples. Add sugar and cinnamon. Mix well.


Place a small portion into the center of each square and fold each of the 4 corners to close the squares.





Brush the edges with milk and press down with a fork to seal.





Sprinkle remaining apples on the top and cook in the oven at 400掳F/200掳C degrees until brown.

Pull the pimentos out and stick raisins in green olives. Then wrap in bacon and broil 3 minutes. Unbelievable!





Turn canned olives into gourmet:


drain 1 can black pitted olives very well.


Mix


4 Tblsp olive oil


1 teaspoon italian seasoning


1 teaspoon dry minced garlic





Pour over the olives and let stand at room temperature for an hour. Stir occasionally.
I like to layer saltine crackers, and shredded cheese. Then pop in the microwave for about 1 min. Add some salsa and enjoy.





Hard boiled eggs, or deviled eggs.





Chips and dip.Cottage cheese and applesauce or even cottage cheese and plain lays.





Toast with applesauce and then cheese, broiled until golden brown.
