www.allrecipies.com has alot of really good recipies of mossarella cheese sticks!
I would love to make home made cheese sticks for my kids, I hope you don't mind, I don't have an answer but would love to know myself..

I buy the store bought brand from Target, they love them... They had some as a snack last night... Home made would be even better...
For fried mozzarella and zuchini you need some eggs olive oil and even though this isn't italian some people use it you could use japanese bread crumbs called panko. Dip them in the eggs and then cover them in the crumbs then when the oil is ready put them in a few at a time and then drain them onto a paper towel once they are a golden brown. Then you can have little sweet snacks just some pre- made pizza dough fried covered in sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, or even chocolate if you like just make them into small bite sized pieces. Or you could have just a little spaghetti and meat balls.
i'm italian...patatine fritte, calzone with mozzarella and prosciutto and tomatoes(really good), pizza, ciambelle, cannoli, melanzane, zucchine....
