Muffins or sliced fruit breads are also a wonderful thing to have in the freezer for a quick snack.

Keep tortillas on hand and make a quick sandwich wrap or spread hummus or peanut butter or apple butter on it or add some cheese. What are some healthy snack recipes that I can make ahead of time?
Flapjack is a good idea. Add some spices like ginger to the oats, butter and brown sugar. I even added turmeric and thyme! They looked very yellow but tasted yum.

As for trailmix, try currants, pecans, pumpkin seeds and mulberries. Delish! If you're credit-crunching, currants and pumpkin seeds are cheap and make a great snack on their own. Pine nuts are also great in trail mix.
Heat some flour tortillas in a fry pan. Fill with shredded cheese and heat them up until the cheese melts. Cut into wedges and store in the fridge until you want a snack. Then throw them in the microwave for a few seconds until the cheese melts again. They're yummy.
Granola bars, mixed nuts, mixed dried fruits such as prunes, apricots, dates, celery, carrots, corn, cut up some fruits, cheese and crackers (in moderation), yogurt.. I guess I am giving info about ready to eat stuff but they are healthy..
Okay, you have to try this: Peanut butter and crackers. they might sound disgusting, but it is easy to make and is delicious! One teaspoon for each cracker of peanut butter. I use two crackers, (like a sandwich).
Nuts, seeds, little choped up veggies, wheat crackers...
